Ruben Zarco
FOUNDER
Universal Iron Works
Mr. Ruben Zarco came to the United States from Mexico City at the age of 11 years old with his family. Mr. Zarco is the founder of Universal Iron Works, Inc., a steel fabricating and structural steel erecting company located in the City of Chicago. He started his business in 1987. He is also the founder of Toro Builders Corp., a general construction company. Both companies specialize in commercial, industrial and institutional projects. He was the 1998 recipient of the Hispanic American Construction Industry Association Contractor of the Year Award. And a past recipient of Business of the year award from the IHCC. Mr. Zarco is a past board director of HACIA and the past Chairman of the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the IHCC.
